Delivering A Promise Of Safety and Reliability With High-end Quality
Delivering A Promise Of Safety and Reliability With High-end Quality

The manufacturing industry is a highly competitive and globalized sector. In order to remain competitive, MSL (Mobility Solutions Limited) has developed enhanced quality management systems that ensure the delivery of high-end products and services.

Robust quality standards and quality management systems followed by our certified engineers result in world-class products. The strict quality management systems identify and address problems at multiple checkpoints that are placed in all phases of the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC), such as product design, development, manufacturing, and final delivery. Complying with high-quality standards helped MSL win the trust of global OEMs and government organizations.

MSL’s quality management system is based upon ISO 9001: 2015 standard. Other than this, MSL is certified for high-quality standards by various international authorities such as ISO (International Organization for Standardization), TUV (Technischer Überwachungsverein), IAF (International Accreditation Forum), and IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard).

Proud Badges: Our Quality Certifications

MSL’s manufacturing facility has received multiple certifications from various national and international authorities. For MSL, these certifications are like proud badges, but they are enough to assure our existing clients and prospects about the level of quality we achieve. Appropriate quality control practices enable MSL to ensure a final functional product with higher standards while having full control of production costs. Following are the major certifications that MSL has bagged.

  • EN 15085-2
  • IATF 16949 (Unit I)
  • IATF 16949 (Unit II)
  • IRIS 22163:2017
  • EN ISO 3834-2:2005
  • ISO 9001-2015 (FRP/GRP)
  • ISO 9001-2015 (Sheet Metal)

Strict Quality Control Process

Manufacturing is all about attaining high quality through the successful implementation of quality control practices rather than just having a long list of quality certifications. MSL believes in the ground-level implementation of strict quality control processes. The following are the major checkpoints of this quality control process:

Inspection

MSL has a dedicated team of certified engineers who carry out the inspection process at different levels of manufacturing. It starts with raw material testing that is based upon ultrasonic testing to find integral defects and chemical analysis. Several other inspection procedures include visual error checking, hydrostatic pressure test, etc. Following is the three-step inspection that takes place at MSL:

  • Raw materials inspection
  • In-process inspection
  • Final product inspection

Calibration

Machines and tools with errors contribute to the errors and quality flaws in the final product. To eliminate this problem, MSL has a dedicated team to ensure the timely calibration of machinery, measurement instruments and other equipment.

Lab Tests

Manufacturing includes using different materials, and they all have to be tested according to different standards. From pneumatic pressure to tensile strength, multiple tests are conducted in laboratories at MSL. MSL lab test facility has a wide range of testing machines that include:

  • Universal Testing Machine
  • Limiting Oxygen Index
  • Smoke Visibility Tester
  • Toxicity Tester
  • Hot Air Oven
  • Weighing Scale
  • Conditioning Chamber
  • IZOD Impact Tester
  • Spread of Flame Tester
  • Hydro Pneumatic Pump

Analysis

Analyzing the different circumstances to sniff the potential risks of errors is necessary for any quality control process. Considering it seriously, MSL has the following analysis process that uses real-time data with different scenarios to ensure that the product always meets specific standards.

  • Data analysis
  • Root cause analysis
  • Non-conformity

Actions For Quality Assurance

The quality Control Process is always incomplete without a course of action that ensures further implementation. Following are the major actions MSL has incorporated into standard operating procedures (SOP) of quality control teams.

Process Modification

Process modification is a stage where an action plan is prepared and executed to modify the manufacturing process to eliminate process-based defects.

Training for Technicians

Proper training materials such as modules and sessions are planned to ensure high quality with uniform and standardized operations. This is to ensure that the technicians working at any level of manufacturing are trained to maintain quality.

Documentation

Quality practices and processes result in higher standards of quality, and these practices can be standardized with proper documentation. The MSL manufacturing facility has documentation for all quality practices as per ISO/IRIS.

Audits

Regular and random audits are conducted at MSL to ensure the implementation of quality practices and the usage of quality materials for manufacturing.

Disposition

Engineers from quality control teams are responsible for developing a quick and thorough action plan for disposition whenever a case of non-conformity is found. A variety of actions, such as rework, repair, scrap, etc., are conducted according to intensity and type of non-conformity.

Bottom Line

In conclusion, it is evident that a quality control process is incredibly important for any manufacturing company, and MSL takes care of it very seriously. MSL’s strict quality control process ensures the integrity of products, which enables major OEMs and government organizations to rely upon MSL. Paying close attention to the quality control aspects is always crucial at MSL as it reduces the cost of production by eliminating errors. Our successful collaboration with highly sophisticated organizations is an indicator of our promising quality.
